Newcomer Sonakshi Sinha is capitalizing on the success of her hit movie Dabangg. She appeared opposite Salman Khan. Now the actress has bagged a role in Race 2 directed by Abbas-Mustan. Her other co-stars in Race 2 are Saif Ali Khan, Anil Kapoor, John Abraham and Deepika Padukone.
Sonakshi Sinha has also signed movies with Salman Khan and Akshay Kumar. Shirish Kunder is making Hindi remake of Tamil movie Kick. And she will also star in a 3D movie Joker. In Joker, her hero would be Akshay Kumar. She says about her choice of movies and different roles, “Oh yes, there’s more to me than the demure ‘gaon ki sehmi-sehmi’ Rajjo in Dabangg.”
Priyanka Chopra was keen on signing Race 2, but her date diary is full and she can’t niggle out of her prior commitments. The director duo tried to fit Priyanka Chhopra in the movie but her hands are already full. Then directors signed Deepika Padukone instead of Priyanka.
The hunt for a third actress is on. It couldn’t be Katrina Kaif. She had already died in the first movie. She also had some differences with the directors Abbas-Mustan. They have filed a complaint against Katrina Kaif in Producers’ Association. So the hunt for the third heroine is still on.
